Bulletin 54 is a collection of 24 papers based on basic, applied and policy research on geoscience. Three papers were presented at the National Geoscience Conference 2006, held on 12-13 June in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. Ten are from the National Geoscience Conference 2007, held at Universiti Malaysia Sabah on 8-9 June 2007 and six papers were presented at the National Geoscience Conference 2008, held at Impiana Casuarina Hotel Ipoh on 1-3 June 2008. One paper is from the Petroleum Geology Conference and Exhibition 2008 held in Kuala Lumpur, while three papers were submitted directly by the authors.
