The 49th volume of the Geological Society of Malaysia Bulletin consists mainly of papers that were presented at various GSM conferences in 2003 and 2004. Papers 1-15, pages 1-92, were presented at the 2004 Annual Geological Conference in Kangar. Papers 16-19, pages 93-124, were presented at the 2003 Petroleum Geology Conference and Exhibition (PGCE) in Kuala Lumpur, while papers 20 and 21 were presented at PGCE 2004 (also in Kuala Lumpur). The last two papers were not presented at a conference.
