This special publication of the Society`s Bulletin series, is dedicated to papers presented at the Society\'s Petroleum Geology Conference & Exhibition 2002 which was held on the 15-16th October 2002 at Istana Hotel, Kuala Lumpur.

In response to our call for the full papers presented at Petroleum Geology Conference & Exhibition 2002, we are indeed happy that 10 authors took time off from their busy schedules to write up their papers. In addition, we have included 2 papers presented at Petroleum Geology Conference 1999 and one specially put together on behalf of the late Dr. Noor A\'zim Ibrahim.
